Trefid Spoon, Exeter, Circa 1684.

With fine colour and patination this spoon has unusually large “ears” and rounded top to the stem. It is a town mark only example, the back of the stem is struck twice with the “crowned X” town mark, the back of the bowl is prick engraved “I D” over “1684”. It measures 7.25 inches long and weighs 1 ounce 2 pennyweights.
