A pair of English Second Course Dishes, made in London in 1791 by Robert Sharp; with gadrooned borders, the rims engraved with the Arms of Henry Willoughby, 5th Baron Middleton (1726-1800). He was born at York and entered Jesus College, Cambridge, in 1745. He served as High Sheriff of Yorkshire in 1757, maried Dorothy, daughter and co-heir of George Cartwright of Ossington, in 1756 and lived in the family seat at Wollaton Park. They had three children. Measuring approx. 10.5" (26.5cm) across.
