A set of 12 shaped gadroon edge plates, made in London by Thomas Robbins, 10 in 1811, 2 in 1812.

These are engraved with the coat of arms of Hobart, for Robert Hobart, 4th Earl of Buckinghamshire, after which Hobart, Tasmania is named.

Larger than most plates you see, they measure 25.5 cm across and weigh together 235 troy ounces (7315g)
