A fine Set of 4 George III Salt Cellars made in Sheffield in 1775 by R. Morton and Co.; oval in form with highly pierced sides with rims that are bead molded.  Four legs terminating in claw and ball feet.  A medallion to one side is engraved with the crest of a dragon's head with wings addorsed, possibly for Osmund Beauvoir - taken from a mid 18th century bookplate by Stephens of Cambridge. Blue glass liners.  Measuring approx. 1.75" (4.5cm) wide.
